Bahawalpur: The brutal murder cases of Arslan Mushtaq (Sheikhupura) and Sharoon Masih (Burewala) and others, hatred speech of Capt. (R) Safdar (Son-in-law of Ex-Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif) against Ahmadi community and the viral video on social media in which ‘friends of Christians (Essaayion) and Ahmadis are called traitors’ are critical and worrisome for Pakistani minorities, said The Rt. Rev. Arslan Ul-Haq (Sutlej Reformed Church Of Pakistan), The Very Rev. Zaheer Kamran(United Prayer Force Church), Rev. Zafar Iqbal (Faith Covenant Bible Church), Rev. Maqsood Ghani, Karamat Masih (Ambassador of Christ Church Ministries Pakistan), Rev. Arshad Masih (King Jesus Pentecostal Church Pakistan), Rev. Munir Masih, Rev. Arshad Baghica (Gospel of Salvation Church Pakistan) and other Church workers. They demanded that the government of Pakistan not try to satisfy minorities with media statements and tweets as usual but take an immediate, urgent, and serious practical action to stop all of these kinds of activities. The tendency of forcing to religion is increasing in schools. Let it be stopped and take stern action against the culprits behind these incidents. A large number of Muslim students who are studying in Christian schools. They have never faced the kind of attitude or torture as Arslan Mushtaq and Sharoon Masih faced. If these activities would not stop or noticed then circumstance will get worse rather than get better and minorities will feel more insecure. We are not in hundreds or thousands but in millions in Pakistan. Moreover, the government should not hurt minorities, especially Christians, through calling a few unaware nominal people to discuss Christian teachings, traditions, events, Churches and their security matters.
